“Take a seat ladies.” Gabriel gestured to the open chairs as he sat down on a two-seater couch, but Raven immediately plopped down right next to him.
Sorcha chose the other two-seater opposite the one Gabriel had sat down in.  She was surprised when the man from the entry hall sat down next to her.  The skin of his bare arm less than an inch away from hers.  She felt the goose bumps shiver to life all over her skin.  What was it about his presence that made her react like that?  Granted - he was stunning in his good looks, but its not like Sorcha had never seen a good looking man before – maybe not one as good looking as Mr. Hot, but that still didn’t account for the reaction she was having to him.  Gabriel was gorgeous, yet she didn’t seem to be having the same reaction to him.
Sorcha was frightened to even look at Mr. Hot in case Raven decided to pounce the poor guy.  She didn’t like that idea one bit – this was one man she didn’t want Raven near, in fact, if Raven even tried it she might just find her self being beat over the head with her own arm. Sorcha almost laughed at the mental image that created but stifled it and forced herself to focus on what Gabriel was saying.
“So what is it we can do for Haven?”
“I’ve been sent on an important mission.  One of …” Raven started.
Sorcha interrupted the other Psy before she could carry on for hours about how important she was.  “We need your help finding the Omega.”
Her words got Gabriel and Kyle’s attention.  Kyle sat up straight as Gabriel sat forward, both men focused on Sorcha.
“The Omega are a myth Sorcha.”  Gabriel smiled gently.
“No - we know the Omega are real, and we’ve been informed by a reliable source that the Omega can be contacted through this compound.”  Sorcha tugged at the lacings of her leather wrist guard, she was nervous, her heart beating a tattoo against her ribs.
“You might as well listen to her Gabe, she knows her shit.”  Kyle said next to Sorcha, he was impressed, she had guts.  She was not going to let Gabriel confuse her.
“Alright, lets say – for argument’s sake – that the Omega are real.  Why does Haven need them?”
“That is between me, as Haven’s representative, and the Omega.  I’m not at liberty to discuss it with anyone else.”
“What if the only way you can get the Omega’s attention is too first discus it with me?”
“Is that the case?” She asked.
“You could say so.”  Gabriel told her.
      Sorcha took a deep breath.
“I’m going to tell him everything if you don’t Sorcha, this is too important for us to play cloak and dagger.”  Raven gave Sorcha a dirty look.
As much as Sorcha hated to admit it, Raven had a point.  If telling Gabriel what was happening would help her locate the Omega that much faster then it would be a good thing.  Netta and the counsel would not object to that.
“Fine, I’ll start at the beginning shall I?”
      Gabriel nodded.
“About six months ago, one of the younger Psy of Haven went out to a club with some friends.  She left before her friends, with a man, but never came home.  A search was initiated, but no sign of her or of what happened to her was ever found.  When the next Psy went missing it was assumed it was unrelated.  Firstly the second Psy to go missing had nothing in common with the first.  Male, much older and he went missing from a camping trip.”
“I can see why its unrelated, but why do you believe now that the two cases are connected?”  Gabriel asked Sorcha.
Raven answered, laying a hand on Gabriel’s knee as she did.  “Because ten others have disappeared since then.”
Gabriel frowned down at Raven’s hand, then looked up at Sorcha.
      “Explain.”
“All in all, twelve Psy have disappeared in a six mouth period.  The only thing they have in common is their disappearance.”
“You could argue that there is no pattern.”
“You could, but you are dealing with Psy, not normals.  We don’t just disappear Gabriel and should we get kidnapped, even the weakest of us could teleport ourselves home.”
      He nodded agreeing with her.
“Will you help us?” Raven batted her eyelashes at Gabriel and rubbed her hand along his knee up his thigh.
The angel picked up her hand as if he were picking up a bug and dropped it back on her lap.
Sorcha felt a strong mental pulse as Gabriel sent out a shielded thought.
      “Who are you talking to?”
Gabe raised an eyebrow in surprise. “You must be a very powerful Psy if you picked that up that send Sorcha.”
Raven snorted. “She’s supposed to be a Walker.”
Kyle jerked next to Sorcha.  “A Walker?”
“Supposed to be?” Gabriel asked as Kyle spoke.
“My walker abilities haven’t developed yet.”  Sorcha mumbled embarrassed.  She wanted to ring Raven’s neck for telling Gabriel that that she should have the powers of a Walker.
“Ross said you called us Gabriel?”  Seth came into the living room with the rest of the Omega in tow.
Gabriel stood. “Sorcha, Raven, meet the Omega.”
“Yeah like you haven’t had an Omega sitting next to you this whole time.” Kyle smirked.
“The Omega?”  Sorcha was amazed.  She stood to face the legendary Omega.  Five men, one woman and apparently Mr. Hot himself was an Omega.
“Yes, this is Seth,” Gabriel pointed to the man who had spoken.  “The man in charge of the Omega.  Drew, his Nexus mate.” Gabriel gestured to the beautiful dark haired woman. “Ross, Marcus, Dante and Darius.”  The last man had evil looking scars running from above his eye over his cheek.  It looked as if something had clawed him.  The scars didn’t detract from his handsomeness, rather they added to it.  Sorcha couldn’t say one of the Omega was ugly, the opposite in fact, she was quiet shocked they were all so gorgeous.  Especially the one who had been sitting next to her the whole time.
She was about to ask Gabriel to introduce him when Seth spoke.
“Did I hear someone say something about a Walker?”
Sorcha wanted to curse, it was just her luck that they had heard that.  Walkers were rare and powerful so they were always a subject of interest to other mythos.
Raven seeing an opportunity to humiliate the other Psy spoke up.  “Yes, Sorcha is supposed to be one.  But I’ve never seen her show a hint of Walker abilities, if you ask me she’ll never be a Walker.”
“So who asked you.” Kyle sneered.  This particular Psy was starting to tap dance on his last nerve.  He was hoping that Sorcha would start showing some of those abilities soon.  He wanted to be able to communicate with the others, his brother especially.  Kyle knew that Seth still carried a lot of guilt over Kyle’s death.  Even though it wasn’t Seth’s fault.  Veronica had used Seth like a bullet to kill Kyle.
Gabriel must be feeling the same about Raven because he gave her a look that would have wilted flowers before he spoke to Seth.  “I’m sure Sorcha will start showing her abilities when she is ready.  Why are you interested?”
“Because things are going bump in the night.”  Ross quipped.
      Gabriel raised a brow.
“We think we have a ghost in residence.  Remember how I’m always fetching Dar or Crimson to fix the sound system.”  Drew explained what Ross was saying.
“Yes, it’s becoming a bit of a joke around the compound.”  Gabriel grinned at her.
“Shut-up Gabe.”  Drew grinned back. “Well I showed Ross and Seth today when the same thing happened again, then something threw a pillow at Seth when he suggested it might be a ghost.”
“Yeah, he deserved it, my brother can be such a moron.”  Kyle commented.
So Mr. Hot was Seth’s brother?  Sorcha tilted her head to look closer at Seth, yes she could see the resemblance.
“Hmm, I’m sure the Sorcha will help us if her Walker abilities should appear while she here?”  Gabriel looked over at Sorcha.
“Of course I would love to help.  I just can’t guarantee anything.”  She felt her cheeks heat up.
Raven snorted then laughed.  Suddenly a pillow went flying though the air and hit the Psy in the face.  Kyle burst out laughing, the rest of the Omega had to stifle laughter quickly.
The Psy spluttered, looking around to see who threw the pillow at her.
“See, that came from no where!”  Drew pointed out.
Raven folded her arms across her chest and sat back a petulant expression on her face.
Sorcha wasn’t going to try and talk the other woman out of her sulk.  She hadn’t seen where the pillow came from, and if she had she’d probably thank who ever threw it.  She had enough of Raven trying to belittle her.
“Ha!  She deserved it.”  Kyle commented.  “I’m going to leave before something bigger hits the bitch.”  He walked out the room.
Sorcha’s eyes followed him as he left the room.  She’d admit to herself she was sorry to see him leave, but she was quickly distracted when Gabriel told the Omega to sit, and asked her to explain why the Psy needed their help.
Sorcha explained about the disappearances and the frustration the Psy were experiencing in finding the missing people.
“Do your people have an idea who could be taking the Psy?”  Seth was seated on a couch with Drew next to him.  Ross was on the arm of the couch and the other Omega had taken seats around the living room Dante taking a seat on the rug when they ran out of chairs.
Sorcha shook her head.  “I don’t know how much you know about the Psy, but we are a people who are very powerful, with so many mind abilities around it’s difficult to keep anything nefarious a secret.  Over the centauries we’ve become more peaceful than your average mythos.  We have no police force and no one with any real ability to puzzle out the hows and whys of this situation.  The counsel has discussed the problem at length and decided the best course of action would be to send a representative to ask for your help.”  Sorcha shifted in her chair wishing that Mr. Hot would come back.  He’d made her a little calmer facing the Omega and Gabriel.
“Do you have any way of tracking the missing Psy?”  Drew asked.
“Actually we do, and it’s the one thing we do have to our advantage.  Each Psy has a mental fingerprint.  This would normally allow another Psy with the ability to hone in on them, and although we haven’t been able to pinpoint any exact positions – something seems to be interfering - we have discovered that the missing Psy are somewhere in California.  Closer than that we can’t get.”
“Well that’s good at least, we wont have to traipse the globe looking for Psy – they are in our back yard.”  Seth smiled.
“I could talk to some of the mythos on the street, I’ve got a couple of contacts that might be able to tell us if anything strange has been happening.”  Dante suggested.  If anyone would know if and why Mythos were disappearing it would be his street contacts.  They tended to deal with the underworld of Mythos society, so they were more likely to have heard rumors.
“Does that mean you will help us?”  Sorcha asked, almost afraid to hope.  This whole situation was a little too easy.  Who’d have thought that she’d find the Omega in the first place she looked.  Netta must have known the Omega were here all along, nothing else made sense.
Seth looked at the other Omega, each nodded as his eyes touched them.  Lastly he looked at Gabriel who nodded as well, then spoke.
“Yes, the Omega and the resources of this compound is at the Haven’s disposal until this matter is resolved.”
Sorcha couldn’t help the brilliant smile that lit her face.  She had succeeded the Omega were on the case.
